A pleasant, ecological and fun way (and also the fastest!) to know all of Florence’s historical center in a few hours!

These are the most important stops during our tour:

  • We’ll meet at the Santa Maria Novella train station where we’ll get our bikes.
  • Piazza Santa Maria Novella: one of the most fascinating squares of Florence with its beautiful church founded by the Dominican friars in the first years of the XIIIth century.
  • The Church of San Lorenzo and the Medici Chapels. The San Lorenzo Market, one of the most authentic and lively open air markets in Florence.
  • Palazzo Medici Riccardi, first residence of the Medici Family.
  • Piazza San Marco where we find the convent decorated with frescoes by Beato Angelico, Piazza Santissima Annunziata, the elegance and the symmetry of the architecture of Brunelleschi.
  • The religious centre of the city with the Romanesque Baptistry, the Cathedral, Brunelleschi’s Dome and Giotto���s Belltower.
  • Piazza della Repubblica, where the Romans founded the old Forum of the Roman city of Florentia, the oldest square of the city but also the most modern one with its historical cafés.
  • Orsanmichele, where once the grain market stood, now stands this beautiful yet unusual gothic church of the florentine Guilds. Along its walls, the tabernacles hold masterpieces of different sculptors.
  • The Mercato Nuovo with its fountain of the Porcellino, one of Florence’s lucky charms.
  • Piazza della Signoria and Palazzo Vecchio, the political center of Florence since the Middle Ages, the Loggia dei Lanzi with its Roman and Renaissance sculptures.
  • The Loggia of the Uffizi: the history of one of the most famous museums of the world.
  • Lungarno and Piazza Santa Croce, the history of the square, the neighbourhood and the basilica founded by the Franciscan monks in the XIIIth century.
  • Lungarno and Ponte Vecchio with its charming jewelleries pending over the river Arno.
  • Piazza Pitti and Palazzo Pitti, The Royal palace, residence of the Grand Dukes.
  • Via Maggio, the street of the parades of the Grand Dukes with all the palaces of the Florentine nobility.
  • Piazza Santa Trinita, the small triangular square with a palace on each side in a different style from a different period, and the Santa Trinita church built during the XIth century.
  • Via Tornabuoni, elegant shops from all the top ‘made in Italy’ brands.
  • Palazzo Strozzi, a typical Renaissance city palace.

Return to the train station of Santa Maria Novella where we’ll return the bicycles.
